My tooth doesn’t hurt. Why should I fix it?

Even if your teeth look and feel fine, there may be a small issue that will become worse over time if it isn’t taken care of right away. For example, it is more timely and cost effective to treat a small cavity with a filling than to wait until decay worsens and becomes a full-blown infection. Always address dental health issues before they become bigger problems!

Is my toothache considered a dental emergency?

Yes! A toothache is your body’s way of telling you that something is wrong. Toothaches can be caused by decay, an infection, or an injury, and these issues should be addressed as soon as possible. Neglecting to take care of a toothache can lead to more severe issues, so it’s best to take care of them as soon as you notice any pain.

Should I get my wisdom tooth extracted?

It depends! More often than not, wisdom teeth tend to grow in improperly, causing pain and overcrowding. Most patients don’t have room for this set of third molars that erupt between the ages of 12-25, and if this is the case, your wisdom teeth should be removed. If your third molars are erupting, give us a call to schedule a consultation to determine whether your wisdom teeth should be extracted!
